Game Description
The Sims (also known as The Sims 1 or The Sims Classic) is a life-simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts on February 4, 2000 for Windows, and July 25, 2000 for Mac OS X. The game only has a single-player mode. There is no goal defined in The Sims,and players must develop their characters as they go through different life stages. Characters which the player controls can interact with other in-game characters, develop relationships (both negative and positive) and can even start families together. Characters can also be assigned certain tasks to develop life skills, which enables them to progress in their careers and increase their salaries.

Hey the game works perfectly fine BUT I encountered a bug of some sorts where when I switch neighborhoods, neighborhood 3 is stuck on a forever loading screen. I tried restarting the game and I am still in that neighborhood 3 just stuck on the same loading screen.
honest question: is this actually legal?
These games are abandonware which means they have no clear legal status. This is because the developers no longer sell or support them.

it does’t even let chose the path of installation.

My game installed and I started playing but every time a notification should appear (skill leveled up, looking for a job in the newspaper) the pop up doesn’t appear and the game freezes for a period of time instead. This is really frustrating and not sure what can really be done to fix this but it makes the game pretty unplayable. :/ Any help would be greatly appreciated.

My sims wont go from the crack to the directory. It keeps saying create link instead of giving me the option to replace.
not open a start.exe go to setup and open setup.exe

The expansions now just keep loading over and over. Once they’re all done it starts over again. Cant click anything. Cant alt-tab out of it. Cant open the task manager.
