Game Description
The Sims (also known as The Sims 1 or The Sims Classic) is a life-simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts on February 4, 2000 for Windows, and July 25, 2000 for Mac OS X. The game only has a single-player mode. There is no goal defined in The Sims,and players must develop their characters as they go through different life stages. Characters which the player controls can interact with other in-game characters, develop relationships (both negative and positive) and can even start families together. Characters can also be assigned certain tasks to develop life skills, which enables them to progress in their careers and increase their salaries.

My game is working and I am able to play, but the option to create families and move them in is missing! I am only able to play with the families the game starts with. What did I do wrong?
Doesn’t work. Now it’s stuck on my laptop and I can’t delete it. I’m going to have to do a factory reset. Thanks alot.

The setup.exe will not open. My cursor looks like it’s loading something and then nothing happens when it stops. I have tried to run it both as an administrator and just opening it regularly.

Fatal Error, could not find the Sims Data Directory, this is the second time that I try to play this game, installation seems completed ok, followed the instructions, have windows 10, mounted and crashed as instructed, even tried running as administration, what else should I try, help

You have to run it as Admin. worked for me.
