I got the game to work, but it won’t let me save? It says an error has occured. If I try to move a family in, it just resets when I return to the town.
Same thing with me I can’t move a new family in a house it just puts me in creative mode
Just start the program as an administrator 🙂
Yeah clearly this one is a dud i cant even get past the double click the setup exe step. All i ever get is “derp derp derp error aborting setup”
I’m on an administrator account it tells me to be on an administrator account but I’m already using one??? any explanations.
RUN IT AS AN ADMINISTRATOR
I was confused by this when it happened to me. You need to right click on the game and choose the option “run as administrator”. Good luck with the game!
okay so i downloaded but when i double click the start.exe file nothing pops up

This worked for me: Setup (folder) -> setup.exe
I’ve installed the game fine and don’t have any issues launching it. The problem is when the game starts up, it’s cropped. It fills up my monitor like it’s on full screen, but only the upper left part of the game shows up. I’ve adjusted resolutions and such but no luck in changing it. Anyone else have this and figured it out?
I also had issues with the game being unresponsive and after tabbing out, the game would be in the top left corner but still cover my entire screen. I solved my issues by right clicking the sims.exe, go to properties -> compatibility -> and check “Run in 640 x 480 screen resolution.” This worked on windows 11
Also, it seems like tabbing out of the game breaks it. Refrain from tabing out

got thru the serial number but ask me to install disc to proceed

When I followed the steps lined out for me up there, the only one I am able to play is mansion and garden stuff. Did I do something wrong? how do I get the other expansions?
Can’t find the serial number? Looked through files and it isnt anywhere.
The directions for this are a little mixed up
It asks you to register AFTER you install the game
Which means there’s a bit of time between step 3 and 4 of just waiting
im having issues with installing this when i run the start.exe it lets me select the English and then click the install it gives me the error “an installation support file could not be installed. catastrophic Failure.”
What can i do for this?
mine automatically moved to the game cracked folder, but then it refuses to open, saying it cant find the directory.
you need to copy the file from the cracked folder, and go into your destination where the game is downloaded and paste it there. Select replace.
mine stuck after entering the serial number. It says component transfer error (Catastrophic failure)
