Managed to install it, but when I click Play absolutely nothing happens. How to fix this issue?
Take it easy, game works.
Jason: You can download thesims.exe from lonebullet website
Miguel: I suggest you enable administrator privilegies
Do yourselves a favor and just don’t 😔
Isn’t worth the hassle. Downloaded the game only to spend hours trying to download other applications for it not to work. The sims complete waste of a day should be the title. You have to be desperate to attempt this runaround.
It worked easy as pie completely for me. Everytime.
There is no runaround. Did u install the crack file into the sims folder and replace that old sims file? This is so simple a monkey can do it.
It’s telling me to log in with administrator privileges. How do I bypass this?
Right click the crack file in the Sims folder, and click run with administrator.
Just installed it. I ran the setup.exe, clicked no when it asked me for deinstallation. Then i just ran the start.exe.
I got the endless loop thing, so I did as suggested in step 8.
Now it works fine. I ran it in 800×600, which gets renderend as pretty pixelated but will finetune this later
Saving and moving works. In general it is good to save on a regular basis. As in the old Sims the game also crashed from time to time
I saw a bunch of people with the same problem i ahd so i’m gonna share how i “fixed it”. I think the description is slightly wrong and thats whats confusing most of us. Instead of clicking on “start.exe” go into setup and click on setup! then after you’ve used setup once you start the game on start.exe and if needed for troubleshooting you can follow the rest of the descriptions, it worked for me!
On step 5, no prompt to “replace” the file, it just adds it to the directory as a shortcut along with the other file. I’m thinking it’s not replacing the cd version with the no-cd version like it should, but can’t figure out how to fix. When attempting to launch from the desktop shortcut created from the setup.exe file, I get a prompt asking if I want to uninstall the game, and when selecting no, everything just closes. Cannot figure out how to get this to launch. I’m guessing something to do with the system trying to launch using the cd version, since I could not replace with the no-cd version. Essentially, moving the cracked file just created a shortcut. Can anyone help?
Followed this to the letter, and game menu opens. When trying to start the game, I select the resolution, and nothing happens. Game menu closes and returns to desktop, and nothing shows in Task Manager. Also, when attempting to move the .exe file from the Sims Crack folder to the default Maxis/TheSims directory, I get an error that “Windows cannot create a shortcut here”
Game is quiet glitchy. the action icons disappear and are just an invisible square. When you hover over an item or object the “description” pop up disappears. I was almost unable to save and exit the game because the menu disappears. Game freezes alot and takes a while to unfreeze it. Usually hitting windows key and going back into the game helps but not always.
Managed to download and play but can’t move in a family I create. Also spent ages decorating a house after I moved in a pre-made family but cant save.
at 95% instalation process it tells me to insert CD number 3 , I can’t see anything like that in the manual nor in the forlder pls help 🙁
I was able to install and play on my computer, no problems, but for some reason I’m unable to install it on my wife’s computer. Nothing happens when I click the start.exe, however it shows up in task manager as running. Any idea why it would work on one computer but not the other? Both running same version of windows 10.
I can’t get the sound to work. It plays for 1-2 seconds during the intro, then cuts off afterwards and is muted. Any solutions?
start.exe won’t open – i can see it in my task manager, but absolutely nothing happens
same for me. Tried this more then once
