    i tried to download the game but it shows up as a note file. i have downloaded this game before and it worked just fine, does anyone know how to fix this or any alternatives?

      I was having the same problem. Google and download Winrar. You can use a free trial. It will extract the file and allow you to complete the download. Everything seems to be working fine for me!

    I followed all the steps and I can only play the sims 2 mansions and gardens pack…what did I do wrong? Is there something else I should be doing?

    This is amazing! Thank you so much you’ve saved me the faff of re-buying and downloading everything. Few minor glitches so far ie. walls glitch on/off when orbiting sometimes but nothing I can’t live with. Only issue is I don’t have the folder ‘The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff’ as described in Resolution Fix.txt, so I can’t sort resolution, can you help?

    When I load the game it just has a black screen that says “out of range”. I hear music and when I hover over the icon running it can see the game in a small window but when I click on it it just says the same message.

    Hi, after installing and following the steps I was able to do everything except changing the shadows, that option is still grayed out. How can I fix this so the black bar does dissapear under my sim?

      You may want to check the steps provided by another person here!

      Step 1: Download the rar file, wait for it to download.
      Step 2: Make sure you have WinRAR in order to extract the folder to access the setup of the game.
      Step 3: Install the latest version of DirectX
      Step 5: Download the Graphics Rules Maker in order fix your sims 2 game graphics.
      Step 6: Download and apply the 4GB Patch for the game

    There’s nothing wrong with my game, it runs fine. But I wanted to reset my neighborhoods and going into Windows (C:) I find that I don’t have any files or folders relating to The Sims 2. I don’t even have a folder that says “Ea GAMES”. If anyone knows if these files install in a different place or could direct me to something that might help, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you.

    I know theres so many comments here already but during install i get “An error occurred while unpacking: archive corrupted! Unarc.dll returned an error code: -7 ERROR: Archive data corrupted (decomression fails)”
    Does anyone know why this happens and if it is easy to fix?

    Every time I try to download this, both through archive and torrent, my setup is 0kb. I have a stable connection during download, what am I doing wrong?

    Do I need to have EA Documents for this or can I keep playing this without needing Origin or EA files? Also, my game won’t save any of my progress. It run smoothly but it doesn’t save. Can someone help me?

    so when i load in i get just “mansion and garden” stuff, i pick a place to live, it loads for a bit then just crashes

      In the description of the game, it says that the IKEA Home Stuff Pack won’t be downloaded, but it’s not true, the IKEA Pack is in the game files and it’s broken and makes the game crash.
      To fix it download this copy of the IKEA Pack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sRuDl5ujHJrFLVcUbOabYKoXqKszvJo5/view

      Once you downloaded it, open it and copy the files then replace them with the broken ones in The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff

      I also suggest to download the 4GB Patch:

      Once you downloaded it, run it and select executable in The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff Pack > TSBin > Sims2EP9.exe

    There are no « Download » file where I used to install mods. Is it possible to install mods in this version ?
