HOW TO FIX CRASHING –
Hello, i downloaded this yesterday and it didn’t work well, it crashed a lot especially in CAS. At first i thought my PC couldn’t handle this game, but i discovered that there is an issue with this crack.
(My PC is Windows 10 64Bit)
In the description of the game, it says that the IKEA Home Stuff Pack won’t be downloaded, but it’s not true, the IKEA Pack is in the game files and it’s broken and makes the game crash.
To fix it download this copy of the IKEA Pack: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1sRuDl5ujHJrFLVcUbOabYKoXqKszvJo5/view
Once you downloaded it, open it and copy the files then replace them with the broken ones in The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > The Sims 2 IKEA Home Stuff
I also suggest to download the 4GB Patch:

Once you downloaded it, run it and select executable in The Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff Pack > TSBin > Sims2EP9.exe

It worked for me, and i wanted to share this so people can keep playing the game even if it’s old.
I also downloaded the Graphics Rules Maker, i don’t know if that will make any difference but the graphic improved.
You can find tutorials on Youtube and it’s very easy to install.

but does the game still working if i only disintall the broken ikea staff pack?
You don’t have to remove the IKEA Pack, just replace the corrupted files with the good ones i linked them.
I did this and got the game to work once, but now it’s just gone back to crashing again.
Every time I open the game the screen goess black for a second then switches to a super zoomed-in version of my desktop and freezes.
Then I think you computer does not support it. 🙁

when trying to download, during the dxwebsetup part, i get a notification saying “setup could not download the file. please retry later or check network connection”. my network is fine so that is not the issue, does anyone know why this pops up?

It’s working great, I just have one issue. Black squares appear under my Sim, and I have turned the shadows to medium and to off and they are still there.
from the cheats menu (ctrl + shift + c) type “boolProp simShadows false” and they should be gone 🙂
Hey, original commenter here. I found the solution. You have to press CTRL + SHIFT + C, then type (case-sensitive) “TestingCheatsEnabled true”, then press enter, then type “boolProp simShadows false”, press enter, and the black box underneath the Sim will be gone 🙂
how do i get custom content on here??? i followed tuts online but theirs seems different to mine and its not working for me 🙁 can someone please tell me how to properly download cc
Open your game and allow custom content in the settings first, close the game after, then go to the Sims 2 directory in your documents folder, there’s a bunch of folders inside like Neighborhoods/Broadcast and stuff, first, delete the “Accessory.cache” and “Groups.cache” files then see if there’s a Downloads folder, if not, create a new folder and name it exactly “Downloads”. that’s it, put your .package files there and they’ll show up in game.
When I went to install the game it said there was “internal error failed to get a non empty installation appid” I have no idea what the means or how to fix it.

hey did you apply the 4gb patch? Sadly you cant play the Sims 2 unless you optimize it. I recommend downloading graphics rule and Lazy Duches sims2PCR launcher, that launcher has the 4gb patch included. I hope this helps.
it seems like in my case only the Mansion&Garden Stuff Pack was installed, because i cant even go to a neighborhood. It says “There are no Sims City 4 terrains available…”
My game exit when i try to create a sim, someone knows house do i fix that?
Okay am I the only 1 that when I start my game and go through the neighborhoods all of them show up the same as the first town, if that makes sense? Basically every neighborhood I click on comes up the same and I’m not sure what to do/
Game has been functioning normally for the last week. Opened it to play for about 10 minutes, noticed commands were not working so I closed. And now the game has disappeared from my desktop and appears to be missing overall from my files. Confused.
I’m having problems near the very end. I keep getting the “ISDONE.dll An error occurred while unpacking: unable to write data to disk! Unarc.dll returned an error code: -11 Error: file write operation failed”
Any ideas on how to fix it?
what packs are not in this collection? are we able to install those after this collection?
