my game stops working the moment I choose a family, freezes and finally crashes what can I do?? help

This did not include Ikea Stuff Pack.
It says in the description it doesn’t come with the IKEA Stuff Pack you have to download that yourself.
It worked perfectly the first time, but whenever i try to play the game again, my sims are stuck spinning in circles. I don’t have mods/cc , i did the 4gb patch, I’ve tried deleting the EA Games file, and I’ve tried redownloading three times but it keeps doing the exact same thing. Someone please help, I’m begging. I’ve been working on this issue for 9 hours-no exaggeration.
I need help please! I have followed all the steps and downloaded what I need to, but the furthest I get is to the actual install window of sims 2 and it says insert next disc or whatever. So I follow the mounting instructions and I can not find anything to “mount” for sims2. I even tried starting all over because I thought I did it wrong and it still won’t get past that part.

hi when i install it, it downloads as a website ?? like i don’t get a folder when i download it like it says i should. it just tries to take me to a website that doesn’t even do anything like what lol
Ive done everything that I read on this thread to do, and im still having issues. I tried downloading and using the 4GB patch. Now the sims are all wonky, and then it finally crashes And by wonky I mean their bodies are flashing blue, and they are constantly spinning! Their pictures dont show when slected etc. I tried fixing the res and that makes the falshing worse… Im at my wits end with trying to get this game working. Any ideas?
Works fine, but when I went to play again today, none of my families I had created were there,,, Is there something I’m doing wrong? I definitely saved the game before quiting
Use administrator mode, that’s usually what is missing if the game doesn’t save.
i still have the black shadow box after i change the shadow settings ingame. i’ve restarted and everything. any tips?
Hi, if you used the cheat “boolprop simshadows false” that should work, i have the same problem where nothing gets rid off= the black box under their feet, you will need to put this cheat in everytime you load the game. 🙂

Hello, I cannot get past the loading when I want to select a neighborhood to start with.
I tried multiple fixes that I found on the internet but my biggest problem is the missing of the ‘GraphicsCards.Srg’ and ‘the GraphicsRules.sgr’ files to add my graphic card.
Can someone help please?
Can somebody help me? I can’t reduce the shadows in the graphic options???? There’s many things I can’t do/change, all hte important options are greyed out.. 🙁
