hi everyone i download the game and extracted the files but when i open up the game file the set up button is not there did i mess something up

Will I be able to download additional content like sims 2 store content a and the packs that aren’t in the collection

when fixing the res, it says I dont have permission to edit the file when I try to save it?
Copy the resolution file and paste it on the desktop, edit it, save it. Now, copy the file on the desktop into the The Sims 2 folder where it’s supposed to go and you will now be asked for a permission prompt, say yes to overwrite. Done!
Don’t forget to make a backup of the original resolution file and save it somewhere safe!
For you guys having crashes you have to install the Sims 2 4GB patch, it can be found here: https://ntcore.com/?page_id=371 You just locate the .exe file under Mr DJ > Sims 2 Ultimate Collection > Mansion & Garden stuff > TSBin and then choose Sims2EP9.exe
Check the log file under Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Logs and then the txt file that starts with DESKTOP. Open it and locate the lines “Memory” and “Free Memory” and if that says 4096 MB you now have successfully installed the patch and your game should no longer crash! Happy simsing!

Hello Mines dont say 4096 And i had installed that patch.. it said 2048MB. am i doing something wrong?

Ive downloaded the 4gb patch, but when i then click on the sims2EP9 file it comes up saying “couldnt open executable”?
hi! I did all this and it says 4096 but i still cant open my game?
when i go to run the game the black screen pops up for maybe 3 seconds and then completely disappears and the game never opens, anyone else having this problem?

So I’m having multiple problems with my game, The map keeps flashing red, and everytime I try to enter a home the game just crashes please help.
everything worked except it is insanely bright and i have no idea how to change it,
In neighborhood view open the command (ctrl +shift + C) and do “boolprop useshaders false” then after that do “boolprop useshaders true” without quote marks. Fixed it for me
It downloaded as an Adobe Reader file, instead of a Zip File.
I also have just the Sims 2 (unzipped) on my computer, could that be why?
i have a question i know that Ikea Home stuff won’t be installed with the game and i think you mentioned that there are some other pack that won’t be installed i just wanted to know what other packs that won’t be installed or if just Ikea stuff will not be installed

Right click the file and click open as, then put it into a zip file program like winrar and extract it
