Hey! I’m having problems when downloading with the launcher, the error message says
“An error occured while unpacking: Unable to write data to disk!
Unarc.dll returned an error code: -11
ERROR: file write operation failed”
What do i do?

have you extract them with winrar/7zip? dont run the setup directly from the downloaded file.
Same problem as them. Yes I did extract. Even tried compatibility mode, updating drivers, and running as administrator.

I already had the Ultimate Collection installed so i just downloaded Ikea Home Stuff and mounted it with WinCDEmu (https://wincdemu.sysprogs.org/download/) then ran it and installed it and it worked fine.
Do I still have to delete my EA folder if it’s for The Sims 4?

can it still allows you to download cc and mods? i already created “Downloads” file inside the “the sims 2 ultimate collection” folder but it still woudn’t showed up in the game. would really appreciate it if someone shows me the tutorial. thanks!
Create downloads folder in documents > ea games > the sims 2.
Hello! i just downloaded the ultimate collection and none of the game expansion or stuff pack folders are actually in the folder. i dont know if thats supposed to happen or what, but i cant change any settings and my game keeps crashing through Mansions and Gardens (but i have no folders to work with). any help is appreciated!

In order for the fix to work you have to move the Sims 2 file (The Sims 2 Ultimate collection) to Origin Games. If you have steam please look up the file directory for steam, but I don’t know if it will work. Do not copy Mr DJ folder, just the folder within

I have a problem, I installed the sims 2 on a external hard drive and in hkey_local_machine there is no ea games in software. I can’t put the game in french, how do it ?

I installed this game on my mac via my vmware software with a Windows XP installed

dude thats the problem when you extract you have to install it it then takes the gb lots of gbs
if you want the game to run without installing, then search on another source.

dude whats wrong with you? i mean The sims 2 with all of the expansion is big, what do you expect? If you dont want the 6.6gb, just delete the setup AFTER installing the game.
you should still grateful, because in origin (if you have it) it takes 10GB (not even installing).

I have Windows 11 and it works for me 🙂 the graphics aren’t 100% right though
it work, as windows 11 is same as windows 10, at least there are no changes in running apps with compatibility mode.
And by “it”, I mean the Setup.exe application. I don’t know what else do to honestly.
