Unable to find the Sims 2 Mansion and Garden stuff folder with the TSData and further files in to change the resolution 🙁

Hi so game works fine and I followed the resolution fix steps however since fixing it I am getting the black box beneath the sims where the shadows should be I tried turning them off completely and they’re still there. Any solutions would be much appreciated.
Solved the problem. For anybody on this having the same issue to make the blackbox disappear after changing the resolution from the instructions, all you have to do is go into the GraphicRules.sgr and search for ” setting $High ” and there will be an option saying boolProp simShadows true change the value from true to false and the black boxes should disappear hope this helps.
The sims 2 unlimited collection download as a explore page and I don’t know if it’s because I have a ea games folder on my computer or if it’s from me downloading it from the archive.org so if someone could help it would be great

i’ve installed the game and it all works, but when changing the screen res i have no “mansion and garden stuff” folder. i only have the original files installed. i can’t change it anywhere

I installed the file anf followed all the instructions, but when I open the game (as an administrator),
appears an error: “Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.” What do I do now?
I actually figured out the solution for this while trying to fix my own sims. Turns out that it doesn’t have anything to do with graphic drivers; the game just can’t handle full-screen mode.
All you need to do is right click on the short cut, and go to Properties. In the Target section, where it says where the file is located, add a -w to the end of it. So it should look like this:
“D:Mr DJThe Sims 2 Ultimate CollectionThe Sims 2 Mansion and Garden StuffTSBinSims2EP9.exe” -w
This will run the game in windowed mode, and you will be able to open it. Hope this helped.
i did this and it opens now, is there a way to make the windowed screen bigger though? it wont let me drag the edges… its just really tiny XD

I downloaded this and the game runs properly, until I try to get into the Create-A-Sim screen. It crashes every time from that point. Do I have to re-download the pack?
Hi, I’ve downloaded the game and installed the repack successfully. The only problem is that when I launch the game, I can only see a black screen and the game is not responding, so I have to close it with the Task Manager. Any chance someone managed to fix this?
It keeps telling me I have the wrong CD inserted and I can’t figure out how to fix it
copy that .exe from that sims: garden and mansion folder (thats about 45mb) and paste it into your desired pack.
So, I downloaded the game, and everything seems to work as it should. However, I’d like to change resolution settings and I don’t seem to have the “Game Files” folder to edit the script. I followed the steps exactly and now I’m at a loss. Anyone know how I can fix this?

Hello when trying to download it stated I need to insert a disc and will not work because of that. Please help.

Hey there, i just finish downloaded the file and i did extract the Setup.exe. Now i’m trying to install the game but when i choose my hard disk it just don’t work and i have to click on “cancel” and then it tries to download but says “an error has occured”. Can you help me ?

I seem to be missing the game files or something. I cant find any of the files to fix the res except the sims 2 file. Iv done about everything I can think of, but I cant get to the Graphic Rules file. Please let me know if you have any idea what could be wrong.
