I downloaded some custom content and mods, and its not showing up and not working even though I have it enabled in my game. What are some steps or tips to get it to work??
Make sure you place them inside your EA Games folder, then inside ‘downloads’ within that folder.
it has to be in the Downloads folder, if you installed any sims2pack files and they are not showing up then you have to put them in the Downloads folder using CleanInstaller :))
I have everything installed and squared away but one thing is I cannot get the cheats to work.
Did you type “boolprop testingcheatsenabled true” first?
I have everything fixed and installed as instructed but.. the cheat codes will not work.. anyone else have this problem??
Made a comment that it didn’t install properly but I figured it out. The icon just took longer to appear for the full game. Don’t know why but it’s all good!
i tried downloading this and all it installed was The Body Shop.

takes way too long to download says 3 days then 9hrs not waiting that long.downloaded seperate packs where quicker

Is it supposed to take 10+ hours to download? I tried to download it but the time to download the file just kept going up and I cancelled it in the end.
Mine took about 6.5 hours at about 300kb/s
The time estimate started at 2 days but eventually changed accordingly.
it goes up and down, and the times are for individual files as well. i had a 5hr wait time for the first file, which downloaded within a half an hour and it was just a .jpg file.
this is a really big, so you need to be patient with it. it’s not going to be able to download the entire game, the packs, and the extra files immediately.
it’s better to watch the KB/sec than the estimated time.
hey friends!! if you’re having the “This application has crashed. The application Will now terminate.” I’ve got a fix!! if you have an amd gfx card thats a 5000 series or newer, you need to download dxvk. newer amd graphics card do not have directx 9 implementation which prevents the game from running on these newer cards. for this reason, its necessary to download this file!!

Just wanted to let everyone know that this is from Mr. DJ and it does have all 16 packs.
I installed the game and it works perfectly, I just have no audio for some reason..
Game crashes loading the towns, and if i get passed that i crashes when i try to create a sim. no idea what to do, just keeps crashing. also i cant change the shadow settings as its greyed out.
You need to look up the sims 2 4GB patch and download it then the game will work.
I followed all the steps to download, but when I run the game (yes I am running it as administrator) it automatically crashes and pops up with “This application has crashed. The application will now terminate.” I have no idea what I did wrong 🙁
Update: I uninstalled everything, then reinstalled, and retryed, still doing the same thing.
Hey the game is working great, only issue is that whenever I leave my lot to go to the pet store or anything my game crashes every time. Any fixes on this by any chance?
