Hi, I downloaded the game and followed all the instructions. But when I go to play the game as administrator I get a message saying “Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest divers provided by this manufacturer. This application will now terminate.” Do you know what I have to download and where I can download it, to make it work.

how? I have been googling this for 2 days. I was able to play in windowed mode by adding ” -w” but the windowed mode is literally 360×200 something for some reason so it is SO small. I have tried everything.

Then run it as administrator, and press auto-detect. Then press save files, and open your game without “-w” parameters.

I downloaded The Sims 2 and it worked perfectly for a few weeks with no issues apart from the black boxes around the sims which i managed to sort out no problem, I went to go onto the sims 2 today and an error has come up saying I need to download directx9 or something.
Please please please can someone help me with what I need to do to sort this!

1. If your game loaded successfully, but you don’t found any neighborhood, you need to copy all of content in this folder: C:Program Files (x86)EA GAMESThe Sims 2TSDataResUserDataNeighborhoods. Paste it in DocumentsEA GamesThe Sims 2Neighborhoods folder.
2. This doesn’t work on MacBooks. You can try to use Virtual Machine and install Windows on it, but it will require a LOT of hard works.
3. My tutorial about “How to install The Sims 2” almost complete, about 90% in progress.
4. Don’t expect this Ultimate Collection to work with “AnyGameStarter”, a mod that allows you to create separate game for separate functionality. It will make your game corrupts and unplayable.
I believe I downloaded it successfully and it loads fine but whenever I open the game it always loads without neighbors, any ideas?
Check your Documents > EA Games > The Sims 2 > Neighborhoods folder. Is there a folder called “N001”, “N002”, and “N003”? If not, then you need to copy and paste the neighborhood here manually from this path: C:Program Files (x86)EA GAMESThe Sims 2TSDataResUserDataNeighborhoods.
Does this work with MacBooks?
No. But you can use Virtual Machine if you like to.
Hey, everyone. So my game was crashing randomly as of late and I did have errors (A lot) listed in my “Config folder.” I searched online how to fix the game up and came across this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S9q3T-pLJfM — This patch mentioned in the video fixed my problem completely and my game no longer crashes 🙂 I hope this helps at least one person out here b/c I know how much it must suck to not be able to play this game <3

Some IMPORTANT Info:
1. If you want to install Ikea Stuff, make sure to put the installation directory in Mr DJ folder.
2. Body Shop is buggy, dont expect it to working 100% as intended.
-If you confused when you want to install mod and cc, go to Mod The Sims. There you can find almost any information about Mods.
3. “The application has crashed, the application will now terminated”. This could be a symbol for VARIOUS issues, so make sure to check config.log to see if the hardware detection is right. If not, use Graphics Rules Maker.
4. You dont need to delete “Electronic Arts” folder in Program Files or Documents. Only delete “EA Games” folder, if there is any.
5. Struggle to install/hang on installation? Use @osab Ultimate Collection instead.
6. Why it only loads Mansion and Garden Stuff? Because M&G is the newest expansion packs available for TS2. Dont worry, you have all other EP and SP, except IKEA Home Stuff.
7. Dont worry to comment, but be sure your problem hasn’t mentioned here (in the comment section).

Yes, but it is not actually in game. It only contains blank folder, and not a complete stuff pack.
The game is working fine, except for BodyShop. Any sims I create in BodyShop don’t show up in the CAS Bin in the game. How do I fix this?
