In case opening the game only changing your screen’s resolution and doesn’t actually show the game: Try disabling all your monitors except one (Win+P). Worked for me
Ok so I’ve got the game downloaded and my first problem came up in Russian, I translated it and fixed it, and now my second problem is I have gotten the game to start but during the intro during the same part every time I get a pop up by Mansion and Garden Stuff saying the application has crashed and will now terminate. I’ve tried googling it but I don’t want to download viruses. What do I do now?
Once you’re first installing the game make sure you choose your preferred language, secondly do to this being a ultimate collection your machine might not have enough memory to support the entire game. If you’re sure your machine does, try reinstalling, if that doesn’t work try downloading just the base game as you can find on the website by searching sims 2.
Hi, I’ve downloaded the game and the entire game(people,houses,world) glitches every few seconds. How can I fix this pls? And it takes forever to load is that normal?
Yes, with all of the DLC and Stuff packs. The loading might take a bit longer as the sims 2 wasn’t made for windows 8 – 10. While for the glitching, I’d recommend playing with the settings and make sure the graphics are set to high for your machie.
I can’t get the game to download, it will start the install and than crash. Anyone have any tips?
So far Ive had everything work but when I try to change the res I cant save the file over itself as I dont ‘own’ the file? Anyone have a solution to this?

RES FILE FOUND : If anybody is having trouble finding the resolution file to change resolution. Its under program files 86x. Then look for a folder called Mr DJ. Click sims 2 ultimate edition. You will see the Mansion and Garden stuff folder as described, with a bunch of other folders. Once you click on that, look for the Ts data folder. Should be 3rd one down. Click Res folder (second one down). Click config folder. Look for Graphics rules.sgr . Open with Notepad, and use the instructions previously given to change res settings.
Important tip!! Make a copy of the Graphics rules.sgr before you mane ANY changes !! Copy and paste to desktop or something. Just in case you mess up!

I have tried to download this four different times on three different computers and it has failed all four times what should I do?
I can’t change my shadow settings in game. They are “grayed” out and set on high. I’ve read the “resolution change” instructions, which say to open the Mansion & Garden folder, but its not a folder for me, its a package file and I can’t open it. So I can’t change any “graphic rules.” Anyone have any ideas for me?
Any chance of the missing Stuff Packs being added? Or is there a way for us to add it separately? Really would like the Ikea stuff and the playground set.

I installed it but when I try to play it either says that I need the correct disk (when I try for the regular Sims 2 from this pack, or some expansions), or it stays in the loading screen in others.
