Game Description
The Sims (also known as The Sims 1 or The Sims Classic) is a life-simulation video game developed by Maxis and published by Electronic Arts on February 4, 2000 for Windows, and July 25, 2000 for Mac OS X. The game only has a single-player mode. There is no goal defined in The Sims,and players must develop their characters as they go through different life stages. Characters which the player controls can interact with other in-game characters, develop relationships (both negative and positive) and can even start families together. Characters can also be assigned certain tasks to develop life skills, which enables them to progress in their careers and increase their salaries.

It does not work…
I’m using Windows 10 and when i try to open the program it say “Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to makes changes to your device?” when i click yes nothing happens
try it twice until it does something. worked for me
okay so, I’ve followed the instructions exactly. it plays, my screen is stuck in the neighbourhood and has no houses or anything, or any text boxes. please help!

Hey. I want to deinstall it on my computer. Feature and Programs deinstall and it says that the support file could not be found. Fatal error. Any suggestions?
I installed it and then it was deleted, then I want to install it again, it can’t “Unknown error encountered, aborting setup”.

Disappointing
I’m having the same problem as a lot of people. Stock in an endless loop of unleashed superstar makin magic load screen. I let that run for about 40 minutes then the game crashed. Opened it back up and same loop.
right click on sims.exe-go to properties-compatlibity and select windows xp service pack 2. your welcome
Very glitchy. Text boxes are screwed up or completely missing. Sims arent appearing in the, I guess you’d call it “Sim Queue” idk I haven’t played in forever idk what you’d call it. Hope these glitches get fixed soon, I was really looking forward to playing

Hiii i just wanna ask why everytime i take a cab or doing some thing that needs a notif to pop up to confirm what am i doing, the notif suddenly becomes gone, the places i visit too is gone and when i click it, it shows up but for just a single second, please answer asap i really love this game so much since i was a kid thanksssssss
