Can you help, my sims all have black boxes under them even after I changed the shadows settings 🙁
open the console by hitting Ctrl+Shift+C and type “boolprop simshadows off” and they’ll go away. You’ll have to do it every time you open the game, I haven’t found any other way to get rid of them.

this worked!! if ur game randomly “terminates” then u might be low on storage, u can either delete the downloaded file(the game still works without) or you can download just the sims 2
How do you restart the hoods? I want to reset my pleasantview but I can’t figure out how
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling but when I redownloaded it still had the same custom sims and played stories and I really want to start from scratch
Delete the “The Sims™ 2 Ultimate Collection” folder from the EA Games folder in your documents (it’ll have like Camera, Music, Neighborhoods, etc folders in it) and when you open the game again, it’ll generate a new folder with those stuff in it and you’ll have the fresh neighborhoods.
how do you use mods in this?
create a folder in the ea sims 2 documents “Downloads” this will work just like sims 4 Mods folders walllah
is anyone else having issues with none of the neighborhoods showing up? this is on first launch

My game has been on a black screen for 2 hours, is this an expected wait time for first time players?
i downloaded as the description said but when im instaling the sims 2 around 60% my computer just completly turns off
Whenever i try to open a Mansion and Garden Stuff pop up comes up that says “Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphic adapters in this sytem! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate” what do i do??

it works like a charm although shadows are rectangles
Turn the shadows from high to low quality to fix that
change it from high to medium or low in graphic settings

I downloaded this as said but for some reason the Sims in Create a Sims will not come up except as dark shadows. Did anyone else have a problem in CreateASim? I already turned off shadows too!
