hello i did everything and it didnt work it says ” failed to find directX 9.0c”
Right click the game icon and hit “Properties”
With the pop-up, go to where it says “Target” Leave everything the same. After the ” add a space and -w then hit okay. It will now run in windowed mode. That is the only work around I have found, no way to make it full screen…
How do you add custom content to the game?
i do not think that is possible. but u could try by adding a Downloads folder.

most TS2 mods are “.package” files that you put in the “/Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads” folder… look around here: https://modthesims.info/
my game crashes every time i try to load a family or add a neighborhood?
thats because the game is an really old game. its running as a 2gb game. you can change it with the 4gb patch. if that didnt work, there are plenty tutorials

whenever i try and start the game and try and play a little the game crashes and i get a message saying “the application has crashed. the application will now terminate.” what do i do?

did you try running it from Sims2Launcher.exe? the other .exes asked me for a CD, but this one didn’t
Since i downloaded this game via here… is there any way to add CC and have it show up? I managed to download skintones, and those did download but when I placed some other CC of hair and clothing, it did not show up in my game. Moved it to another folder but made it worse…Any ideas?
where did you put the CC? they should go in “/Documents/EA Games/The Sims 2/Downloads”, I just tried it and it worked fine
Hey — unfortunately, my Smooth Edges bar is greyed out. I looked at the Resolution Fix instructions, and I’ve looked online, but I’m missing the ‘Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff folder’, which I need to resolve the issue. Or is there another way to fix it? Would anyone be able to help me with this? Thanks in advance 🙂
Hi there, I’m new to TS2 (I played TS1 when I was a kid – TS3 and TS4 over the last 6 years or so…) Anyway, my question might not make much sense: I use mods and cc in all my gameplays so my question for THIS particular download of TS2 is this: Is there any possible way to install subhoods into this repackaged version of The Ultimate Collection? Since I was never able to download TS2 from Origin at the time, I don’t have the necessary folders and files associated with most tutorials I’ve come across. I’ve linked an image from a friend’s screenshot to sow wat I’m talking about. The yellow box around the folder names are used when someone as downloaded the game through Origin.
I hope this question makes sense, as I have had trouble finding anyone who uses clean subhood templates (even making the main hoods as subhoods) who have also downloaded TS2 The Ultimate Collection from here AND NOT Origin.
