Is it possible to play with mods and if so, where should they be put?
It’s completely possible. I have over 600 files (lol). Create a folder labeled “Downloads” (no quotations), then put all mods and cc in there unless the creator says to put it elsewhere. If you have the Sims 3, then try not get it twisted because there’s also a downloads folder there.
Hi, I was trying to change the language in the package (I have Windows 10).
I enter “regedit” and open the app, but I can’t find the sims folder. Can anyone help me?

dude, it gives me this error message:
”an error occured while unpacking: unable to write data to disk!

Sounds like you do not have enough memory for the install, I believe it needs 13 gb free.
hey guys am trying to install direct x wouldt install so i set my laptop to factory defaukt and then i try again no then i worked i folloed a turtoreal on youtube the sims 2 complete wont work it says unable to fine data file then it say file is corrutpted guys i downleaded this before what is it promblem.

Is it possible to change the resolution above 600×800. I only get one option in screen size and that is this one and it looks awful on my 4k screen.
you can change the resolution by changing some things in the graphicrules.sgr file

oh and if ur sims have a black box under them, set the shadows to medium while playing a household, or edit the graphicrules to remove sim shadows on high
What do I do? The download is a .rar instead of a .zip, so I have no idea if it’s still the game or if it’s just a file that I’m unable to open. This is super frustrating and I hope someone has an answer or something. I just don’t think I can go further if it’s just a .rar file.
You need either 7zip or WinRAR to open .rar files. 7zip is free to use, and I believe WinRAR is free to use with a trial period involved. .rar files are just another way to compress a file and by default Windows doesn’t come with the ability to open them, so again — check out 7zip or WinRAR.

Works PERFECTLY as of Friday 1st October 2021 and the only 2 packs that are not included with this download are: Christmas Party Pack (also called Holiday Stuff Pack) & Festive Holiday Stuff (also called Happy Holiday Stuff). Hope that helps! All you need to do is find a guide on how to make the sims 2 work on windows 10 (there are loads of them on YouTube) so that the game can recognize your new graphics card and use a bit more ram than what it was designed to and voila you’re set to go!

There are a few guides over on YouTube that’ll tell you to download a graphic rules maker and the game then will be able to recognize your graphics card and will hopefully resolve the direct x error.
I’m confused… I thought I did it right but when I go to install it, it says I need the disk… What do I do?
Make sure you did Step 5 right, in the instructions.
