The Game starts great, but the second i try to create a sim the game crashes… I’m assuming its not compatible with windows 10? i did get the 4gb patch to assist with crashing but it still terminates the program

after download it is showing up as a PDF file and not a folder. any help would be appreciated
If you download custom content where would you put the folder? I’m having difficulty. Tutorials aren’t helping
You put it in the ‘Downloads’ folder located in the Documents > EA GAMES > The Sims 2
I tried to do it but it won’t work, the folder wasn’t there so I created one manually however the game does not recognize the custom content.
game runs fine, but having issues trying to install mods, i absolutely cannot find the correct file location for my downloads folder, have tried everything.
I’ve heard you can just, make one yourself. go into “Documents” “EA Games” “The Sims 2” and make a new file called “Downloads”. Exactly that. Or maybe it’s just “Download”. I don’t remember but I’m pretty sure its the first one. Just put your mods and cc in there and it should be fine.
i did that, and some cc pops up, but as for hair,clothes, skins,poses, animations, nothing is working, any answers??????
I’m so confused… I installed it exactly as it said but when I go to install the directx part my computer says that I already have a version that’s either equivalent or better. Then when I go to run the game it says I have no compatible directx installed???
Thank you so much old games download! It took a while for me to figure out as I’m not a computer whiz, but I eventually got it! For people have issues hang in there, try different methods and a few different ideas to get it going, research if you have to. The original sims 2 game is almost 20 years old so it might not always be a smooth process (god that makes me feel old lol). I was feeling very sad for a long time, because I bought all these sims 2 disks but couldn’t get anything but the base to work, but you helped me out! Thank you!

Yes! Read the “language change” text file in the “game files” folder. The instructions are there.

i have directx 12 but it says that its not compatiable. do i have to delete it? but what if i delete it then download the older version will it effect my other games??
