I am doing the directions for extracting files. But I do not see the Game File, I just see the paper icon with Sims Collections name on it. I double click on extract file and it pops up just the Sims Collections name and paper icon in front of it. Is there a way you can do a recent file for the Windows 10 computers?

my game seems to have missing textures as when i load in many objects flash pink/black then when i try to play as a family it crashes, what’s going on here?

No no, you need to found the “seti low medium high” on Graphics Rules.sgr. read instruction carefully before asking
Why does it download so slowly..?
I think the servers where the files exist are really slow, it took me like 10 hours to download and I have 100 MB internet speed lol. Some other sites have this file also as an torrent, which might be faster but I didn’t try it.
the torrent version downloads in about 20-30 minutes

I got the same problem at first, because I tried to launch the Sims2.exe file in the “The Sims 2/TSBin” folder. Instead, you need to launch the Sims2EP9.exe-file in the “The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden Stuff/TSBin” folder (because that’s the newest installment of the series). Hopefully this helped.

1. You dont need dxwebsetup at all! Except if you’re using Windows XP.

6. Update your Graphics Card driver if you have “Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c….” problem. Make system restore before updating.
I have Windows 10 and the “directX 9.0c” problem
I’ve tried everything I could find on the internet. I but the problem persists and I can’t even open the game because this notification always comes back no matter what I tried. I’m really becoming desperate 😭

Have u tried to download DirectX 9 from Microsoft and install it? it helped with mine. Because Win 10 has the 9 Version not preinstallt.
I clicked on the dxwebsetup but instead of installing it told me “Setup could not download the file. Please retry later or check network connection”
My internet is connected :/ and no matter how many times I click on it, nothing changes
Then skip it. U only need to open dxwebsetup if u use windows XP. Otherwise, skip it.

There are few causes. First, use Graphics Rules Maker: https://www.simsnetwork.com/tools/graphics-rules-maker and make sure after opening the program, select Sims2EP9.exe in C:/Program Files x86/Mr Dj/The Sims 2/The Sims 2 Mansion and garden stuff/TSBin.
Second, if this program does not help, check your computer permission settings/UAC. Also, try to run the game without administrator
I installed the main files but it won’t let me install the DX files so the main icon doesn’t appear on my desktop
The dxwebsetup only needed if u use XP. Otherwise, you dont need to install it.
Also about icon, just open C:/Program Files x86/Mr Dj/The Sims 2/The Sims 2 Mansion and garden stuff/TSBin. Then open Sims2EP9.exe. To make shortcut, right click on the executable, then press Send to > Desktop.
Update from me; it worked, but the black square under the sims wont go away lol
I also dont got low option, only Medium High and Off; i tried every but it still doesnt go away. Anyone know any fixes?
U can install this mod: https://modthesims.info/d/569585/sim-shadow-fix-updated-2-jan-16.html. This will allow you to run the game with shadow set to high, but don’t have black square issues.
Does it still work on Windows 10? I got all the CDs physically so if it asks for key that iant a problem for me but ive tried before and it didnt work, other page tho if im not wrong lol

I have a question. I have downloaded and extracted the folder, then I followed the instructions and the game launches and works. But for some reason, randomly the game will crash. Do you have any suggestions on fixing this? I turned off the firewall and it still crashes.
