i tried to change resolition but there is nothing named ‘seti MediumButDefaultLow’
I have downloaded this file at least 5 times, and each time it stops at 4GB and no more continues any further after resuming. Even if it interrupts before the 4GB, it continues, but it comes to a complete end always at 4 GB. Resuming at that point just starts the download again but ends after a short time without adding any further data. No chance to get beyond the 4 GB. Is the download broken maybe? I also installed latest versions of win.rar and 7zip but still the problem is the same, it ends when it reaches 4.0 GB.
Okay i run the setup.exe in admin mode but when i click install it tells me to find the next disk? Im confused because i have enough space on my disk ):

A: There is chance your pc is not using NTFS file system, but using FAT32 (default when u use Windows XP). Before doing that make sure you backup your hard drive.

When I launch the game and it starts loading, the loadbar goes like halfway through and then the game just crashes. What could be causing that?
Edit: I tried reinstalling it and now it does the exact same thing, except this time it tells me “the application has crashed. It will now be terminated” or something like that.

I get the directx message, I have also installed The Sims 2 base game and it’s the same. I don’t have the option of Windows XP service pack 2, only Vista SP2 or XP SP3… Is there anything I can do ?

Shadows are still appearing as black box. Changed the settings to lower/none and nothing is working. Any solutions?

hi there, can’t install.
I have downloaded the game and extracted using 7-zip as recommended, but there is no setup.exe.
There is a readme, and a web link file and a game files folder.
In the folder there is a txt file with the key, an ISO file, and a no CD folder.
In this folder is a Sims2.exe which doesn’t run (error no CD).
There’s no setup.exe :/
Turn off antivirus first, then extract the files again from the .zip

Go to program files > Mr Dj > The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff > TSbin. After that open “Sims2EP9.exe”.
You can make shortcut to your desktop by right click on the .exe > send to > desktop (create shortcut).
I had the same thing but the Mr Dj folder is empty

In the middle of installing I keep getting this error saying ‘unable to write to disk’. I tried multiple times but it keeps popping up. I really don’t know what this means, could someone please help me?
Make sure u use winrar to extract the setup.
I did that but I get the notification while on the sims 2 screen thing with the green letters and stuff

Hi! I’m having the same problem as a couple other people, where the game will stop launching after a little while. I do use custom content, however even after removing all of my mods/cc the game still will not launch. I’m not sure what’s wrong! I’ve tried re-installing it, and the same thing will happen: works fine for a little bit, but after maybe the 5th time closing the game it will stop launching. Running this on Win 10.
