How do I install CC and mods?
There are a lot of sites with that, try watching some youtube tutorials (I would advise to check the comments to see if people have positive opinions about the website, nobody wants to download from untrusted sources, right?)
You can find plenty of tutorials online on how to place CC and Mods into your game safely and without the fear of corruption. In fact, plenty of mods were created to combat corruption as The Sims 2 is unfortunately prone to. You can find safe to download CC and Mods on websites such as “The Sims Resource” and “Tumblr”. hello,i downloaded this 3 wks ago and it worked fine but this week,it’s crashing. does it include patches too or should i get them elsewhere? pls help
This download includes all patches through the final stuff pack and should theoretically work fine. If your game keeps crashing, make sure you have space on your computer. If so and the problem persists, try uninstalling and reinstalling.
I’ve installed everything but the icon isn’t showing up, what should I do?
Hello, I tried 3 times to download the Sims 2 but I have this message:
“Failed to find any DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! Please make sure you have a DirectX 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. The application will now terminate.”
Anyone has any idea on how I can make the game work?

hi i cant seem to get the game to install i keep getting an error message has anyone else experienced this???
I troubleshooted it by just making some more space.
I don’t have The Sims 2 Ikea Stuff.
It says in the installation notesthat the ikea pack is missing.
I got the game working without crashes on Windows 10 PC after I installed the Graphics Rules Maker and 4GB patch

You can change it via settings in the game.
cant find any of the files to change the res, nothing its so hard to play it when the game is squished
It works well in my laptop (windows 10). It did missing IKEA Home Stuff, the TSData in IKEA is incomplete. Thanks Oldgamge for uploading, it’s almost perfect game
So there’s no file to work with now.
I click and it’s just this blank form called “rar” and I can’t extract or do anything with it.
Download 7zip or winrar

Click on the folder and press extract
When that’s done go in game files and click on setup
In setup click install

So everything went smoothly until I tried to create a new sim. I clicked the add a sim button and nothing happened, no sim or menus or anything. I hit escape and the game terminated. What should I do? Same thing happened with body shop.

Your game might be corrupted. Try a Sims 2 related forum first, and if no solution is found I would recommend uninstalling and reinstalling, not to mention making sure you have room on your computer for such a large influx of files.
