Simpsons Cartoon Studio(tm) (version 1.1) Welcome to The Simpsons Cartoon Studio. Please read below for information about installation, technical requirements, and technical notes. ------------------------------------ Installation: The Installer lets you choose between Full Installation and Partial Installation. We recommend a partial installation, unless you have a large hard drive. A full installation requires 75MB. Cartoon Studio should perform better if you choose to do a full installation, however, the CD must still be in the drive to run the program. Technical Requirements: 8MB RAM minimum (We recommend 16MB RAM for Windows 95 users). 640 X 480 resolution or higher 256 Colors 8MB or more of free hard disk space Windows 3.1 or higher Technical Notes: For improved performance under Windows 3.1 or 3.11, make sure Virtual Memory is on in the 386 Enhanced Mode control panel. We recommend the default setting for your computer. If running Windows 3.11 you will have improved performance if you run with 32-bit File Access and 32-bit Disk Access ON in Virtual Memory on the 386 Enhanced control panel. - To minimize Windows memory leaks, the Simpsons Cartoon Studio will automatically quit after making a cartoon for the Player, so save exporting for last. - If running at higher resolutions with large fonts, some words in The Simpsons Cartoon Studio alert boxes may be cut off. You can switch your resolution to use small fonts to fix the problem from the Display control panel in Windows 95, from the Windows Setup application, or from the graphics card control application provided by the card manufacturer for Windows 3.1 and 3.11 machines. - MS Virus and other virus protection software may interfere with installation. Turn off virus protection before installing if necessary. - If you encounter sound or video problems, please check with the card's manufacturer that you are running with the most current drivers. - Exporting for the Player creates a cartoon that contains all the sounds, music, and graphics needed to play the cartoon without the Simpsons Cartoon Studio. All this content makes for a large file size. When exporting a cartoon for the Player, please keep in mind that a high density diskette can only hold 1.4MB. When exporting, to make sure the exported cartoon runs correctly, the Simpsons Cartoon Studio will limit the size of the cartoon to the amount of available RAM plus 500k. If you are exporting a cartoon that will be approximately 2MB after exporting, you will need at least 2.5MB of available RAM when you begin your export. Exporting for the Player also requires you have at least three times the hard disk space available as the estimated size of the exported cartoon. If you are experiencing any other technical problems, please contact the technical support desk, as detailed in the Simpsons Cartoon Studio user manual, or connect to the Fox Interactive site on the World Wide Web at http://www.foxinteractive.com Archived by OldGamesDownload.com on 27th May, 2020
