DirectX 9.0c or more recent is required. It is available 
through the game installer or can be downloaded from 
http://www.microsoft.com/directx.

To check your current version of DirectX, select "Run..." from
the Windows Start Menu, enter "dxdiag" in the text box and look
for the value next to "DirectX Version" at the bottom of the
DirectX Diagnostic Tool window that loads up: if the number is
not 9.0c or greater, you need to download and install the latest
DirectX from the URL above.

You should install the most current set of drivers for your 
computer's graphics card.  These drivers can be downloaded 
from the graphics card's manufacturer's website. If you 
experience graphics card problems, please install the most
current set of drivers for your computer's graphics card
prior to contacting Technical Support.

For users of Windows 2000 or Windows XP: you must log in with 
Administrator rights to install, play, and uninstall the game.


Installing the game:

When installing the game, do not run any other programs in 
the background. This includes virus-protection programs, which 
can hinder performance.


To install The Matrix Online(tm):

1. Insert Disk 1 for The Matrix Online(tm) into your CD-ROM or 
DVD-ROM drive.  If the disc does not launch automatically when 
inserted in the disc drive, you may have Autoplay disabled. 
To enable AutoPlay, please consult the Windows XP user manual.  
In order to install the game without using AutoPlay, browse to 
the location of The Matrix Online(tm) CD-ROM using Windows Explorer, 
and double mouse-click the "Setup" application in the root directory.
2. Follow the instructions to install The Matrix Online(tm).  
3. Please note that you must register an account in order to play 
The Matrix Online.  You can do this at www.thematrixonline.com.  


Uninstalling the game:  

1. Click on "Start" to activate your Start Menu.
2. From the "All Programs" menu, select "Monolith Productions".  
3. From the "Monolith Productions" menu, select "The Matrix Online".  
4. From "The Matrix Online" menu, select "Uninstall The Matrix Online".  
5. Follow the uninstall instructions on-screen.


Running the game:

1. Click on "Start" to activate your Start Menu.  
2. From the "All Programs" menu, select "Monolith Productions".  
3. From the "Monolith Productions" menu, select "The Matrix Online".  
4. From "The Matrix Online" menu, select "The Matrix Online".  
5. Follow the Launcher instructions.
