Game Description: The overall idea for this game is to give you the chance to actually partake in what it must be like during an ordinary day in Bikini Bottom. As SpongeBob, you will be able to select which side of the bed you would like to wake up on. Each side has a unique storyline. When selecting the right side of the bed, you will have to go through Bikini Bottom in an attempt to find Mr. Krabs to warn him of Plankton's plan to steal the Krabby Patties. When you select the wrong side, you will have to complete increasingly ridiculous tasks given to you by Plankton. You must do this in order to find your pet snail, Gary, who Plankton has hidden to try and make SpongeBob reveal the secret Krabby Patty recipe. Microsoft Windows 95, 98 or ME ********************************************************************************** 4. Installing the game To install the game, please follow the following steps: 1. Insert the SpongeBob Squarepants (TM): Operation Krabby Patty disc into your CD-ROM drive. 2. If you have the Auto insert notification feature enabled for your CD-ROM, simply left click on the install button and skip the next two steps. 3. Left click on the Start Button on the Windows Task Bar then select Run from the Start Menu. 4. Type D:autorun (D refers to your CD-ROM drive. If your CD-ROM drive is not D, please type the appropriate drive letter). 5. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen. 6. After installation is complete, you will find an icon fort SpongeBob Squarepants (TM): Operation Krabby Patty in the SpongeBob Squarepants (TM) menu within programs (under the Start Menu in the Windows Task Bar as well as on the desktop). You may unistall the game by using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel or from the Start Menu - search through the listed Programs for SpongeBob Squarepants (TM): Operation Krabby Patty Uninstall. ********************************************************************************* 5. Technical Notes and Troubleshooting Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video/sound card. Microsoft(r) provides a utility to get DirectX(r) and driver information and a link to this program has been installed on the Start Menu. Check the card manufacturer's website for driver updates. Here are the websites for some of the more common video cards: ATI - www.ati.com Matrox - www.matrox.com NVIDIA - www.nvidia.com 3dfx - www.3dfx.com Known Issues ------------ 1. If you experience any problems with Windows XP Home Edition RC2, please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. 2. HP Pavilion 8495 OEM drivers cause sound issues in the game. To correct this problem please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers . 3. Windows states that disabling virtual memory is "not recommended" and may "adversely affect system performance". If you find that your computer is not loading the selected level, the game sound effects and music are distorted and/or the game is not functioning properly, please make sure that virtual memory is enabled. 4. There are several issues using the Matrox Mystique 2MB PCI, please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. 5. Install SpongeBob Squarepants (TM) from your primary CD drive. Installing it from a secondary drive could cause graphics to drop out. 6. Removing the CD while playing the game will cause the game to malfunction. The CD-ROM must stay in the drive at all time while playing the game. 7. When playing the game on a Hewlett Packard system, pressing three or more of arrow keys at the same time will not move the playable character. ********************************************************************************** 6. If the recording medium is found defective within 90 days of original purchase, Company agrees to replace, free of charge, any product discovered to be defective within such period upon its receipt of the product, postage paid, with proof of the date of purchase, as long as the Program is still being manufactured by Company. In the event that the Program is no longer available, Company retains the right to substitute a similar program of equal or greater value.
