Mr. Krabs gives SpongeBob 2 tickets to the park, which he got for free, but is too cheap to include a way to get there. Of course SpongeBob is still extremely thrilled with this prize since he has always wanted to go, and invites Patrick to come along with him. System Requirements Before you install SpongeBob SquarePants(TM): Employee of the Month, you should make sure that your PC meets the following hardware and software requirements. You should have: 1. DirectX 8.0 compatible video card capable of 16-bit graphics with a minimum of 4 MB of RAM (3D hardware accelerator recommended) 5. 16-Bit Sound Blaster Compatible sound card 6. A mouse and keyboard 7. Microsoft Windows 98/ME/XP 8. 32MB RAM (64MB recommended) ********************************************************************************** 4. Installing the game To install the game, please follow the following steps: 1. Insert the SpongeBob SquarePants(TM): Employee of the Month disc into your CD-ROM drive. 2. If you have the Auto insert notification feature enabled for your CD-ROM, simply left click on the install SpongeBob SquarePants(TM): Employee of the Month. Make sure to Install DirectX 8.0 if you do not currently have it. Skip the next two steps. 3. Left click on the Start Button on the Windows Task Bar then select Run from the Start Menu. 4. Type D:autorun (D refers to your CD-ROM drive. If your CD-ROM drive is not D, please type the appropriate drive letter). 5. Follow the instructions that appear on your screen. 6. After installation is complete, you will find an icon for SpongeBob SquarePants (TM): Employee of the Month in the SpongeBob SquarePants (TM) menu within programs (under the Start Menu in the Windows Task Bar as well as on the desktop). You may uninstall the game by using the Add/Remove Programs Control Panel or from the Start Menu - search through the listed Programs for SpongeBob SquarePants (TM): Employee of the Month Uninstall. ********************************************************************************* 5. Technical Notes and Troubleshooting Make sure you have the latest drivers for your video/sound card. Microsoft(r) provides a utility to get DirectX(r) and driver information and a link to this program has been installed on the Start Menu. Check the card manufacturer's website for driver updates. ATI - www.ati.com Matrox - www.matrox.com NVIDIA - www.nvidia.com Known Issues ------------ * If you encounter any problems running the game, try SAFE Mode. You will find an icon for SpongeBob SquarePants SAFE Mode in the SpongeBob SquarePants (TM) menu within programs (under the Start Menu in the Windows Task Bar). SAFE Mode may solve some of the following problems... 1. There are known issues when creating a game folder consisting of a large amount of characters when installing or uninstalling this game. 2. HP Pavilion 8495 OEM drivers running Windows 98 causes issues in the game. To correct this problem please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. Try running the game in SAFE Mode from within the SpongeBob folder. 3. There are known performance, sound and graphic issues when using an nVidia nForce audio/video card. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. Also, try running the game in SAFE Mode from within the SpongeBob folder. 4. There are known graphic corruption issues related to the following ATI and Matrox video cards: Try running the game in SAFE Mode from within the SpongeBob folder. -ATI Rage128VR: ATI2DRAA.DRV 4.11.01.6076 -ATI Radeon: ATI2DRAG.DRV 4.13.01.9031 WHQL -Matrox Millennium G450, G400.DRV 4.12.01.2010 WHQL -Matrox G200,G200.DRV 4.12.01.2730 (WHQL), 4.12.01.3120 5. There are known graphics and performance issues when using DirectX 8 compatible drivers with the ATI 3D Rage Pro Turbo 2X. Please contact your hardware manufacturer for the latest drivers. Try running the game in SAFE Mode from within the SpongeBob folder. 6. Launching the game with an ATI Rage IIC video card will cause the game to crash after the intro movie. Try running the game in SAFE Mode from within the SpongeBob folder. 7. Windows states that disabling virtual memory is "not recommended" and "may adversely affect system performace". If you find that your computer is not loading the selected level, the game sound effects and music are distorted and/or the game is not functioning properly, please make sure that virtual memory is enabled. 8. There are known graphic issues when using ATI built Radeon 7200, 7500, or 8500 video cards with the latest drivers. If graphic issues occur, press Alt+Tab to back out of the program and Alt+Tab again to resume your game. Additionally, gameplay issues can occur while using these cards and updated drivers in SAFE mode. 9. There are known issues when running this SpongeBob SquarePants (TM): Employee of the Month with insufficient hard disk space. Please make sure that you have 500MB available on your hard disk before playing the game. Please refer to section 3 (System Requirements) for more information. 10. SpongeBob SquarePants(TM): Employee of the Month requires DirectX version 8.0 or higher.
