******************************************************************************** CONGRATULATIONS, SPONGEBOB! ******************************************************************************** It’s no surprise to anyone that, once again, SpongeBob SquarePants has been named Krusty Krab’s Employee of the Month. But this time, Mr. Krabs has decided to give him an even greater honor by naming SpongeBob EMPLOYEE OF THE YEAR! After taking a group photo to mark the occasion, Mr. Krabs rewards SpongeBob with a pair of free… I mean, very valuable tickets to the undersea amusement park, Neptune’s Paradise! Even though Mr. Krabs didn’t bother to provide him with any way to get there, SpongeBob is extremely excited about his prize, since he has never been to Neptune’s Paradise and has always wanted to go. SpongeBob invites his good friend Patrick to go along with him. Patrick is tickled pink – of course, Patrick is always pink – and so their adventure begins! To check your inventory, left click on the Treasure Chest icon at the top left-hand corner of the game screen. Your inventory items will appear inside bubbles lined up at the top of the screen. Empty bubbles mean you still have room for more items. Some items have to be combined before they can be used. For example, you’ll need to add “fixins” to a plain Krabby Patty. After all, what good is a Krabby Patty without the “fixins”? To combine items, simply left click and hold on an object (such as the plain patty), then drag it and drop it over another item in your inventory (such as the “fixins”). There you have it! A perfect Krabby Patty! Of course, there are some inventory items that cannot be combined – and why would you want to combine them anyway? You’ll also find three more items in your treasure chest: a Telescope, a Notepad and a Question Mark. When you left-click on the Telescope, you can check the map. Left clicking on the Notepad will open the menu screen. If you decide you need some assistance, simply left-click on the Question Mark, and a helpful Frenchman will be happy to offer some sound advice. TELESCOPE (View Map) After you successfully uncover an important clue, a telescope will magically appear on the screen, letting you know you are free to explore a new area. Left click on your inventory telescope to check out the map. (You’ll find the telescope in the upper right-hand corner, opposite the treasure chest.) Notice that some areas on the map are colored in, while others are not. You can enter any of the brightly colored areas by left clicking on them. Unfortunately, the non-colored areas are strictly off-limits – that is, until you uncover more clues. Every new area that opens up leads SpongeBob and Patrick closer to their goal, and closer to Neptune’s Paradise! QUESTION MARK (Hints) If you get into a jam, click on the Question Mark for helpful hints from a Frenchman. He might give you exactly the information you need to get out of trouble. Bye-bye for now! ******************************************************************************** THE ADVENTURE ******************************************************************************** As the newly crowned Employee of the Year, it’s only natural for SpongeBob SquarePants to begin his adventure at the Krusty Krab, home of the famous Krabby Patty. Going for a day at Neptune’s Paradise seems like a simple enough journey at first, but without a sure-fire plan to get there, SpongeBob and Patrick will need to be pretty creative. They’ll have to talk to everyone they meet, from Downtown Bikini Bottom, to Goo Lagoon and the Barg-N-Mart. Fortunately, most of the residents of Bikini Bottom are friendly and willing to help. SpongeBob may even get some assistance from his own Grandma! SpongeBob and Patrick must explore every corner of every room and check out any objects they find, in order to uncover important clues to help transport them to their destination. Once they get on the bus, they’ll be well on their way to Neptune’s Paradise… or will they? WARNING! The “Walkthrough” section on the next page contains actual hints on solving the first set of puzzles. If you want to be surprised, you should skip this section. WALKTHROUGH Krusty Krab The game begins here, at SpongeBob’s workplace. • Enter the Krusty Krab through the front doors. • Talk to the hungry customer to see how you can help him. • After you find out what the customer wants, pick up the dirty plate from the next table. • Walk over to the salad bar (top left of the screen) and pick up some fixins. • Talk to Squidward to find out what you need to do to satisfy the customer. • Enter the kitchen and pick up the plain Krabby Patty from the grill. • Walk to the sink on the other side of the kitchen (bottom of kitchen screen). • Open up your inventory chest, click and drag the dirty plate over the water in the sink. • Add the fixins to the plain patty in your inventory by clicking and holding on the patty, and dragging it over the fixins to combine the two. • Finally, you can put the completed patty on the clean plate. • Now you can take that delicious, mouthwatering Krabby Patty out to the hungry customer. Drag the clean plate with the Krabby Patty on it, over the customer to give it to him. He will be so grateful, he may just give you some important information about Neptune’s Paradise! ******************************************************************************** CREDITS ******************************************************************************** AWE Games Executive Producer James Wheeler Lead Programmer / Engine Development Jamie Nye Game Designer / Art Director Scott Nixon Lead Artist / Animator Mike Niedda Background Artist Forrest Mulcahy Additional Programming Les Bird Cut-Scenes Rick Daniels Devon Browne Nick Schreiber Music yummynoise Additional Music Will Pirkle Additional Art Ken Loyd Karen Sanok Quality Assurance Aaron Runion Matthew Wheeler Richard Bass Special Thanks Michael J Barnes Steve McCormick Ben Gamble Trevor Talbird Julia Newby Donald Oglesby Bill Mentzer Valerie Crawford Jeff Frank Voice Talent Tom Kenny SpongeBob SquarePants Bill Fagerbakke Patrick Star Carolyn Lawrence Sandy Cheeks Rodger Bumpass Squidward Tentacles Doug Lawrence Plankton & Larry the Lobster Tim Conway Barnacle Boy Marion Ross Grandma Sponge Clancy Brown Mr. Krabs Joe Whyte Mermaid Man THQ Producer Petro Piaseckyj Assistant Producers Ryan Camu Emerson Escobar Executive Producer Carolina Beroza Vice President - Product Development Michael Rubinelli Quality Assurance Lead Tester Mark A.
