Welcome to Play-Doh (TM) Creations, where you can make just about anything out of Play-Doh! Windows 3.1/Windows 95 Version 1.0 256-Color Mode: Play-Doh Creations will work best with the monitor set in 256-color mode, although it will also work with more colors. If you are NOT running in 256-color mode, two of the special effects colors will be affected: the Sparkle color will not sparkle, and the Changing color will stay the same. However, any creations made with these colors and saved will sparkle and/or change colors when the display is restored to 256-color mode. Instructions for changing your display to 256-color mode may differ, depending upon the graphics card your system is using -- see your user manuals for more information. Swap File: Windows will run faster if you set up a large permanent Swap File. To do this: In Windows 3.x: 1. Open the "Main" folder, the "Control Panels" folder, and click on the "386 Enhanced" control panel. 2. Click on the "Virtual Memory" button. 3. If the "Size" of Virtual Memory is less than 8192 bytes, or if the "Type" is "Temporary," you should consider changing the settings: click on "Change," set the "New Size" to be the same as the "Recommended Size" and click on the "OK" button. If the recommend amount of disk space is not available, try to create a swap file of 8192 bytes (or at least 4096 bytes), and be sure to exit all other programs before running Play-Doh Creations. In Windows 95: 1. Open the "Control Panels" folder, and click on the "System" control panel. 2. Select the "Performance" tab, and press the "Virtual Memory" button. 3. Click on the option "Let Windows manage my virtual memory settings." Archived by OldGamesDownload.com on 10th August, 2019
