If you have turned off the Autorun feature, insert the CD-ROM into the computer's CD-ROM drive and double click on the Setup file (Setup.exe file) located on the CD-ROM. MAIN GAME AND WORLD ADVENTURE(TM) INTERFACE Green Light Once you've selected the car you want, click on the Green Light to go forward. Red Light Click on the Red Light button when you're ready to return to the previous screen. Track Editor Icon (collect all 6 CD-ROM's to unlock this feature!) Select the Track Editor icon to design and build your own unique race courses! Test out your designs by taking a wild spin in any of a dozen Hot Wheels(R) cars. GAME CONTROLS How to drive You can easily control a car by using a mouse, or the arrow keys on your keyboard. Driving with Mouse Left mouse button: ACCELERATE (make the car go faster) Right mouse button: BRAKE (slow the car down) Move mouse to the left to steer car to the LEFT. Move mouse to the right to steer car to the RIGHT. Driving with Keys Press up arrow to ACCELERATE. (make the car go faster) Press left arrow to steer car to the LEFT. Press right arrow to steer car to the RIGHT. Press down arrow to BRAKE. (slow the car down) Hint: To steer more in any one direction, drag your mouse in that direction or hold down that arrow key on your gamepad or keyboard. PERFORMING MID-AIR STUNTS Perform spectacular somersaults, twists, spins, and rolls - all while jumping in mid-air! You can pull off these awesome stunts by using a mouse, gamepad, or the arrow keys on your keyboard. Stunts with Mouse Press left mouse button to FLIP FORWARD. Press right mouse button to FLIP BACKWARD. Move mouse to the left to SPIN LEFT. Move mouse to the right to SPIN RIGHT. Stunts with Keys Press up arrow to FLIP FORWARD. Press left arrow to SPIN LEFT. Press right arrow to SPIN RIGHT. Press down arrow to FLIP BACKWARD. Try pressing the SHIFT and CTRL keys. For advanced drivers, these keys will provide additional MID-AIR ROLLS. Hint: Try doing a twist by combining a somersault and a roll simultaneously! Hint: You will receive a visual reward on-screen each time you successfully complete a stunt. The more difficult a stunt, the more you'll be rewarded! Hint: Improve your chances at beating the clock by doing more stunts. They give your car an extra boost on the landing! SCORE Your Ratings Your score will appear on-screen at the end of each race. The Coin icon shows the number of coin powerups you picked up during the race; The Stopwatch icon displays your completion time; the Flying Vehicle icon rating indicates your stunt prowess; and the Crashing Vehicle icon tallies up your crashes during the race. How well your ratings add-up depends on your time, jumps/stunts, and crashes. Think you can do better? Race again by clicking on the Green Light. BUILDING YOUR OWN HOT WHEELS(R) TRACK Select the Track Editor icon in the Main Menu to create your own custom race courses! With dozens of different track pieces to choose from, your track layout options are virtually unlimited! Making Tracks Select from 24 different track pieces to design a completely custom 3-D track. To add a track, click on that piece. Use the Pencil Erase icon to delete the last track piece from the course. The track combinations are almost endless! You can drive anywhere on the 3-D track, but you can only win by racing under the green start banner, through the track pieces and crossing the finish line under the checkered flag banner. If you crash outside of the track you've built, or drive under the checkered flag without finishing most of the track, you will automatically be sent to the last piece of the track you finished to continue racing. There are also up to ten coin powerups on the track that will help you get a better finish time! Note: Some track layouts created may not be reproducible using the Hot Wheels(R) track system components. Racing Your Track When you've completed your new track design, it's time to give them the ultimate test! Sling some mud and give your course a workout by racing the track in your Hot Wheels(R) vehicle. Click on the Green Light to select a car from the Hot Wheels(R) Super Rally Case.
