Problems and Questions ---------------------- Listed below are some common questions and troubleshooting issues, as well as possible solutions or workarounds: Problem: I've tried a bazillion times to get past level XYZ, and I want to move on. How do I skip past it to the next level? Solution: First, click to the first "locked" level (the next level in the series) on the level select screen. Then click in the lower right corner of the screen to unlock the level. Problem: I load up Marble Blast and the frame rate is SLOOOOWWW. Solution: On older Macintosh computers, you may need to turn down the resolution and bit depth for Marble Blast to run acceptably. Go to the Options screen and select 640x480 at 16-bit color. Problem: I have a really big/wide monitor and Marble Blast doesn't let me access all the different resolution settings of my monitor!!! Solution: You can manually set your fullscreen resolution from the in-game console. Press the tilde key (~) to access the console, and then type: listResolutions(); This should display a list of all the resolutions your monitor and video card support. You can then set the resolution manually with the setResolution() command like: setResolution(1024, 640, 32); This will allow you to have Marble Blast take up the full screen on wide screen iMacs and cinema displays. Pressing the ~ again will cause the console to go away. Problem: I've beaten all yer simplistic marble levels, and I want some real challenges! Solution: Well, you can either download other people's user created levels (check the Marble Blast forums) or you can create your own rockin' levels. Problem: Uh, how do I make my own levels? Solution: First, check out the Marble Blast level editing forum at http://www.garagegames.com/index.php?sec=mg&mod=forums&page=result.forum&qf=84 . That should get you pointed in the right direction. You will need a program that can edit Quake .map files (like QuArK or WorldCraft) in order to create your own custom geometry. Most if not all of these programs are only available for Windows based machines. Problem: Your easy listening music is cramping my marble style... how do I play my own rockin' tunes in this game? Solution: Marble Blast looks for files with the .ogg extension in the Marble Blast application package. To play your own tunes, just drop any ogg/vorbis encoded file (.ogg) into the Marble Blast application package. To open this folder, Control-click the Marble Blast Icon and choose "Show Package Contents" from the pop-up menu. If you want to get rid of the music that ships with the game, remove the .ogg files from the marble/data/sound folder within the Marble Blast application package folder. Problem: The Gold Time on level XYZ is way too low! It is clearly impossible to get such a low time! Solution: Try again. All of the gold times are possible to achieve without cheating... but some of them are VERY hard to get. Problem: I have some other problem other than the ones above. Solution: Check the Marble Blast support forum at http://www.garagegames.com/marbleblast/
