Windows AutoPlay ------------------- Some Windows 95 machines do not support AutoPlay. If this is the case with your system you will need to double-click on the icon for your CD-ROM \ DVD drive to install the game. The CD-ROM \ DVD icon can be found in 'My Computer'. 2. Time Skipping ---------------- During play testing of some missions it was discovered that by using the "Time Skip" feature to get to the action would result in a severe imbalance of forces, making some missions almost impossible to complete. Therefore we advise players to use "Time Accelerate" rather than "Time Skip". "Time Skipping" to the end of the runway for takeoff should be as far as you "Skip". 3. Auto Pilot Taxing and Takeoff -------------------------------- If you like to use the autopilot to take the burden of taxing around the airbase we recommend that you only allow the auto-pilot to taxi you to "the hold". Problems only arise on runways where the autopilot defaults you to a line astern takeoff. If you allow the autopilot to handle the takeoff you will find that your wingman will run into the back of you before you're off the ground. Therefore perform the takeoff yourself at max power (140%) or use the "Time Skip" to get on the runway which will align you side by side. 4. Runway Designations ---------------------- There are some radio messages that are incorrect. You may be requested to taxi to runway 31, when in fact it is runway 32 that your waypoints take you to. If in doubt follow your waypoints. 5. Completion Objectives ------------------------ The completion objectives found at the bottom of the briefing screen are generated by F-22 ADF, but can be misleading. In any circumstance where these objectives mention that an enemy flight must not reach a waypoint DO NOT confuse that waypoint number with your waypoints. You will not be able to see the enemy's waypoint and will have to refer to the mission brief to work out what this actually means. For example, in the Saudi/Yemen Tour, mission Counter-Recce, the objectives will read; Flight AL_ARBIA 2 MIG-27R must not fly over waypoint 4 Flight AL_ARBIA 3 TU-300 must not fly over waypoint 2 Flight AL_ARBIA 4 MIG-27R must not fly over waypoint 4 Flight AL_ARBIA 5 MIG-27R must not fly over waypoint 4 These waypoints are for the enemy flights only and in this particular mission are set near the allied troops, since the mission brief is; "Yemenite reconnaissance drones and manned reconnaissance flights represent a considerable threat to the success of allied plans. The movement of the allied forces from their bases towards their forward assembly areas must not be detected by the Yemenite forces. Intercept and destroy all enemy reconnaissance planes before they overfly the assembled allied troops." 6.
