Thanks for puchasing Deer Hunter!  We
hope that you enjoy hour after hour of
hunting.  Good luck finding those really
big bucks for your trophy wall!


Starting!
---------
When you insert the Deer Hunter CD-ROM in
the CD drive for the first time, you'll be
prompted to 'install' Deer Hunter.  Follow
the installation procedure as outlined.

After the first installation, you can run
Deer Hunter from the shortcut icon or just
insert the CD-ROM into the CD drive again to
launch Deer Hunter from your hard drive.

Learning to hunt!
-----------------
We've included information to help you learn
to play these games in the Deer Hunter
help file.  This is available from the Help
menu in the Deer Hunter application.

Troubleshooting notes on Deer Hunter 
------------------------------------

1.  You must have a DirectX compatible Sound and
Video Card for Deer Hunter to operate properly.

2.  Deer Hunter is very graphics intensive so a high
performance video card is recommended.

3.  This product installs DirectX  version 5.0   We 
assume that the newer versions of DirectX will work 
but cannot guarantee 100% compatibility. 

4.  Deer Hunter is also a LARGE game so we recommend
a computer system with at least 16 MB of RAM.  Of 
course, the more memory the better!

5.  If you notice a lot of screen flicker when
playing the game, you might need to adjust some 
settings in the Display section of your Control
Panel.  If there is an option called "Page flip during 
vertical blank", "Page flip during vertical retrace",
or something similar, you should turn this option ON.
This should eliminate the flickering problem you see
on your screen.

GRAPHICS INITIALIZATION FAILED ERROR
------------------------------------
DirectX v5.0 should solve any graphics problems. If 
you are getting this error, then this problem is 
related to your system having old video drivers. 
We strongly recommend that you update yourvideo 
card and sound card drivers for DirectX to work 
properly. You can do this by contacting your card 
manufacturer via the internet (or phone) and 
downloading free updates. Please see your card 
documentation for addresses and phone numbers.
