CHOOSE YOUR WEAPON SNUZI: A single shot laser tranquilizer gun R.E.M.-16: A rapid-fire tranquilizer machine gun Dream Weaver: A double-barrel tranquilizer rifle CHOOSE A LOCATION Armpit Estates: oh, glorious suburbia! Business District: the Tellannoy Telemarketing Company Swamp Ass Grill: where beautiful people go to be ugly HUNTING THE HUNTERS Once you've chosen a location, you are sent to the location screen. Here, you are looking through the eyes of the Deer Avenger and you will be holding your chosen weapon out in front of you. In each location, the hunter is hiding and is being protected by his buddies. You have to tranquilize all the buddies before the big, bad hunter will appear and shoot it out with you. Get him! Then you will drag him off to his ungodly fate. Once you have dragged off all three hunters (one from each location), you will be allowed to view this excruciatingly painful punishment. Enemies Bar As you neutralize the buddies, this bar will decrease. Looking Around To view the entire 360 degrees of a location, move your mouse to far right or left of the screen. The screen will then scroll in either direction. To look up and down, move the cursor to the top or bottom of the screen. Using Your Weapon To aim your weapon, use the mouse to move the crosshair or laser mark over your target, then click the mouse button to fire a tranquilizer dart. You can shoot all the characters as well as most objects (windows, glasses, monitors, etc.) in all locations. Sometimes, when you shoot objects a Salt Shaker (see below) will appear. Farting and the Fart Meter Beside shooting, you can fart to help neutralize the obnoxious buddies. To fart, press the Z key. The longer you hold down the key, the stronger the fart. When you run out of gas, the round Fart Meter at the right bottom of the screen will be empty. Getting More Gas Over time, your gas meter will refill. (NOTE: Your gas meter will not refill while you are ducking.) Ducking You are being shot at, so duck to protect yourself. To duck, hold down the SHIFT key. While you are ducking, you cannot get shot. (NOTE: While you are ducking, you cannot move around the screen nor will your fart gas refill.) Ducking and Farting This is an unbeatable combo. Try it, you may like it, but remember: once you've run out of fart gas, you will have to stand up again (un-duck) in order to start refilling your gas meter. Health Bar As you get shot, your health will decrease (duh!). Your health is represented by the Health Bar. If you let the Health Bar go all the way down, you will end up over some fireplace somewhere and you will have to do the location over again. Salt Shakers All is not lost, when you shoot objects, like glasses, windows and such, occasionally you will reveal a hidden Salt Shaker. Deer like salt! Shoot the shaker and it will restore some of your health. ESC to Quit If you want to leave the game or pause, press the ESC key. SAVING/LOADING GAMES After you capture a hunter, the game will ask you if you want to save your game. If you save your game, you will be able to continue it (or load it later), going to the other locations and getting the other hunters. You need to visit all three locations and get all three hunters to win the game. At the Main Menu, you can choose Save/Load to load a game that was previously saved. You will then be able to choose a location in which you have not yet gotten the hunter. ------------------------------------------- TROUBLESHOOTING If the program is very slow: 1.
