INSTALLATION Before running Crime Life: Gang Wars, ensure you have the latest drivers for your video and audio cards installed. You can download the appropriate drivers from your video and audio card manufacturer's Web site. Avoid running any other programs in the background, as this may conflict with the game. This includes any virus-protection program that you have running, which can hinder performance. To install Crime Life, insert the Crime Life DVD into your DVD-ROM drive. If your computer is Autoplay capable, the install application will automatically appear. Simply follow the on-screen instructions. If your computer is not Autoplay capable, open the "My Computer" icon found on your desktop or Start button. Open the drive letter that corresponds to your DVD-ROM drive, double-click the "Setup" icon, and follow the on-screen instructions. REMOVAL To uninstall Crime Life: Gang Wars: 1) Bring up your Start Menu. 2) Choose "Settings". 3) Choose "Control Panel". 4) Choose "Add/Remove Programs". 5) Highlight "Crime Life: Gang Wars” and click the "Change/Remove" button below its name. 6) Follow the instructions that appear to uninstall. 3. QUICK START PROFILE Create: Click here to create a profile Quit: Click here to quit the game. MAIN MENU Begin Story: Click here to start the game Options: Click here to choose Options (Controls, Audio, Graphics) Extras: Click here to view game content (Music, Video, Concept Art, Photographs, Bonus Material, Credits) Note – Some of the Extras content needs to be unlocked through game progression as well as by locating and disfiguring enemy tags hidden in the game. TROUBLESHOOTING Q) I have sound / graphics issues...what should I do? A) First of all, make sure you have the latest drivers for your sound / graphics card. To verify that you have the latest drivers available for your card, contact the card manufacturer. If you video card is from NVIDIA (GeForce) visit: http://www.nvidia.com/drivers If you video card is from ATI (Radeon) visit: http://support.ati.com If you continue to experience problems, please ensure you have the latest version of DirectX installed. You can obtain this from the DirectX folder on the Crime Life: Gang Wars DVD. When installing new card drivers, use the Windows Uninstall program to remove any previous drivers. 4. KNOWN ISSUES / MISCELLANEOUS There is a known issue with the default WDM driver for SB Live cards (this driver is installed in Windows 2000), whereby if it's not updated you do not get hardware mixing, and sounds begin to disappear. Installing the latest creative labs driver fixes the problem. The driver can be obtained from www.creative.com. Please also note when configuring a controller, the "open inbox" command will open the "last active menu" rather than the inbox directly. Some ATI video cards with drivers dated July or September 2005 may experience graphical errors with the water effects. As of September 2005, ATI are aware of this issue and are working to resolve it in a future driver release. This title does not support Limited mode in Windows 2000 or Windows XP. 5. Miscellaneous. This Agreement represents the complete agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior agreements and representations between them. Only a writing executed by both parties may amend it. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be unenforceable for any reason, such provision shall be reformed only to the extent necessary to make it enforceable and the remaining provisions of this Agreement shall not be affected.
